Internships
The Chicago Refugee Coalition believes that internships should be robust learning and professionalization opportunities. We are in the process of revamping our internship program to ensure that it meets our standard of excellence. As a result, we are not accepting interns for the summer term and will commence this revitalized program in September 2023.
Internships are 12-15 hours a week and are focused on the areas of (1) program management; (2) media and outreach; (3) research and data collection, and (4) social work/case management. Academic credit may be awarded by your university for completion of an internship with our organization.
Our internship program is not administrative in nature and we believe in embracing authentic experiential learning in order to provide a window into the work of the organization. If you are interested in applying for an internship, please contact us.
Basic requirements to qualify for the program are outlined below:
•Have excellent academic performance
•Be at least 18 years old
•Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
•Have a US passport, state ID, and or drivers license
•Have extensive experience in external-facing roles like managing strategic partnerships and operations of a resource center
