Since 2018,
We have served Chicago's refugees
At the Chicago Refugee Coalition, we believe that the best way to deliver effective services is by being responsive to the expressed needs of the community.
In 2018, we learned that over half of all refugees in the Chicagoland area experience food insecurity. Through our partnership with Misfits Market (Imperfect Foods), we have distributed over 100,000 meals to refugees through our innovative resource center at Sullivan High School in Rogers Park. However, we recognized that there was still much more work to be done. To better meet the diverse needs of the community, we expanded our range of services to include an annual coat distribution, provision of home supplies, hygiene products, and much more. We invite you to explore the impact of our work through the report (right) and to hear directly from the participants we have the privilege of serving. The report can also be downloaded here and retained for future review. Through our ongoing commitment to community-driven service provision, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of refugees in Chicago. |
