A More Equitable Place to Call Home

We have served Chicago's refugees since 2018. In 2018, we learned that roughly half of all refugees in the Chicagoland area experience food insecurity. Through our partnership with Misfits Market (Imperfect Foods), we have distributed over 200,000 meals to refugees through our innovative resource center in Rogers Park.

Global Refugee Crisis

The global refugee crisis is one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), there are currently over 110 million forcibly displaced people worldwide, including 26.4 million refugees. The majority of these refugees come from countries experiencing conflict, violence, and persecution, such as Syria, Afghanistan, and South Sudan. We invite you to learn more about the global refugee crisis by enrolling in CRC 103: Beyond Borders which provides a detailed introduction to the topic of forced migration.
